EcoDry

EcoDry is ABB's product offering of ultra-efficient dry-type transformers. These transformers offer eco-friendly, energy-saving and environmentally friendly transformers which are optimized to suit the specific load profile of an application. The transformers can be used for step-down or step-up (MV/LV or MV/MV) applications, and are especially suitable for utility distribution, industrial, and renewable energy applications. The components EcoDry^Basic, EcoDry^99Plus, and EcoDry^Ultra provide selective options for dramatically reducing no-load loss, load loss or both. Transformers are provided with cores made of amorphous metal or low-loss silicon steel.
