The DA working group at Vaasa factory celebrated a notable progress of the DA Handbook. The team achieved an important milestone with the release of the latest publication “8.14 Automatic Reclosing” of Power System Protection. Even though Power System Protection is still not fully ready, the working group is confident to complete the whole chapter and has a plan to initiate the project for the unwritten subchapters and for the rest of the DA Handbook.
Dean of the University of Vaasa Mr. Erkki Antila visited the DA factory in Vaasa for the celebration of the DA Handbook. “Graduating students could examine some topics of the DA Handbook. It is an important skill to an engineer to know how to write” he The released subchapters of Power System Protection provide as such a comprehensive view to protection and control. One of the key initiators of the DA Handbook, Dean Mr. Erkki Antila from the University of Vaasa, was delighted to receive the news about the progress of the DA Handbook. Due to his wide network of authors, several top professors and experts gave their contribution to the material. Thanks to writing for the DA Handbook, authors have noticed that also their own lecture material was improved at the same time.
More authorial support is still needed for finishing the project. The DA working group hopes that authors would find time to finish with writing. Mr. Antila suggests utilizing thesis writers too.
